The latest change in LPG prices in India has brought some relief to people using LPG. Starting from June 2, 2025, the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has decreased by ₹24 which brings some assistance to businesses. But, prices for domestic LPG cylinders are still unchanged. Under monthly review by oil marketing companies (OMCs), the pricing for fuel is adjusted by considering oil price changes, currency rates and taxes.
Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices
Prices of domestic LPG cylinders have not increased; they are still at ₹853 for 14.2 kg cylinders. In Mumbai the price is ₹852.50, but the prices in other cities are similar. Because of the subsidy policy, domestic consumers do not suffer additional financial problems when buying essentials.
Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices
Commercial users will now pay less for a 19 kg LPG cylinder. Delhi now charges ₹1,723.50 after it was ₹1,747.50 last period. Transportation in Mumbai is costing ₹1,674.50, in Kolkata it is now ₹1,826 and in Chennai it has climbed to ₹1,881. Restaurants, hotels and others have experienced relief due to the reduction in the cost of LPG3.
Factors Affecting LPG Pricing
Prices of LPG depend on the cost of crude oil internationally, changes in the value of the US dollar, the cost of shipping and taxes set by the government. The prices at oil companies are reviewed and updated each month on the first. Commercial users now get a break, but domestic users haven’t seen any changes yet.
Future Prospects and Market Outlook
Analysts think that in the next few months, LPG prices could rise or fall due to oil prices and decisions made by governments. Since inflation and energy prices can affect LPG prices, the government may decide to change domestic LPG rates in the future. People are encouraged to keep checking prices so they can control their expenses.
Conclusion
Because of the June 2, 2025 revision, commercial users can now buy LPG at lower prices, while household users do not notice any change. Operating expenses for restaurants and small businesses will go down, though domestic consumers should check for future revisions. Changes in global oil prices could cause trends in LPG affordability and make consumers pay attention to changing prices.
